Putra Hospital Melaka Collaborates with Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) to Support Early Heart Care
At Rumah Sakit Spesialis Putra Melaka, we believe that good heart health starts with awareness and early action. Heart-related conditions often develop quietly, with symptoms that may seem mild at first but can become serious if left unchecked. As part of our ongoing commitment to medical excellence and patient well-being, Putra Hospital Melaka is proud to collaborate with Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) to provide accessible heart consultations for the community.
This collaboration focuses on early consultation and guidance, especially for adults aged 50 and above. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage timely assessment and support individuals who may be experiencing early signs related to heart health.
Understanding Early Warning Signs of Heart Conditions
Heart problems do not always begin with severe or sudden symptoms. In many cases, early signs are subtle and easily ignored. Some individuals may assume these symptoms are part of ageing or daily stress. However, recognising them early can make a meaningful difference.
Common warning signs include:
- Shortness of breath
- Chest discomfort or pain
- Fatigue during mild activity
These symptoms may occur during daily routines such as walking short distances, doing light housework, or climbing stairs. While they may not always indicate a serious condition, they should not be overlooked especially for individuals aged 50 and above. Seeking professional consultation allows for proper assessment and guidance based on individual health needs.
Our Collaboration with Institut Jantung Negara (IJN)
Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) is Malaysia’s national heart institute and is widely recognised for its expertise in heart-related care. Through our collaboration with IJN, Putra Hospital Melaka strengthens its ability to support patients who require professional heart consultation.
